INDCO's PhD-Series Tri-Clamp® Mount Direct-Drive Mixers with external mechanical seals are the clear choice for the most stringent sanitary low-viscosity mixing applications up to 750 liters.  Designed for the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industries, the sanitary 4" tri-clamp® attachment provides easy access to the vessel.  Our model PhD-150T4 is configured for a tank volume of approximately 475 liters.  The external dry-running mechanical seal is rated full vacuum to 200 psi with standard EPDM USP Class VI elastomers.  The stainless steel 1 1/2 HP, 230/460V 3-phase electric motor provides 1750 RPM output.  The mixer shaft is 1" diameter by 36" long with welded and polished 6", 3-blade square pitch propeller.  The seal housing, mounting flange and wetted parts are constructed of 316 stainless steel with a #4 buffed mirror finish.  Surface finishes as fine as 15Ra are available.  Documentation packages including drawings, material certifications, parts lists and certificates of conformance are provided.  Customizations can include variable frequency drive (VFD) speed control, epoxy-coated washdown motors, alternate seal designs, tri-clamp® sizes,  electropolished wetted parts, and multiple impeller options.  Impellers can be provided with set screws if preferred.  Call our engineers to assist with your application or for a quote on available options.
